Sputum in the throat or nasal congestion are the most common cause of coughing and difficulty breathing. Sputum accumulated in the lungs contributes to these health problems. Although the problem is not life-threatening, it affects the quality of life.
What is sputum, really?
This sticky substance is secreted by mucus membranes and its role is to trap all dust and viruses.
It basically protects us from the cold and we start coughing when slime accumulates in our throats and breasts. This is often accompanied by fever, coughing, weakened body, runny nose and difficult breathing. Bronchial tubes can be blocked if we do not remove sputum from the lungs, increasing the risk of more serious health problems.
